Not everything is made to be worn by everyone
There is a pervasive idea that dominates almost everything today:
that everything must go well for everyone.
The clothes, the objects, the words.
Everything must be easy, immediate, adaptable.
Everything must include, explain, convince.
Yet, if you really look at the objects that matter in your life,
the ones you never questioned,
you notice a simple thing:
They were never meant to please everyone.
It's not a question of price.
It's not a question of forced exclusivity.
It's a question of threshold .
There are objects that ask for little,
and objects that ask for something more:
attention, time, a certain mental disposition.
They don't chase you.
They don't explain why you should choose them.
They stay there.
They wait.

We live in an age where everything is trying to attract you.
To get noticed.
To be on top of you.
But true luxury today is the opposite:
something that doesn't make noise .
An object that doesn't change tone to please you.
Which doesn't fit the context.
Which becomes nothing more to sell more.
An object that remains itself,
even at the cost of not being chosen.
This applies to style,
but it is especially true for people.
There are people entering a room
without having to prove anything.
Not because they are superior,
but because they are not seeking approval.
They have already passed that threshold.
And style, when it's true, works the same way:
he doesn't add, he doesn't raise his voice, he doesn't compensate.
Simply, it is .
When you choose something that isn't made for everyone,
something interesting happens:
stop wondering how you will appear to others.
You start to wonder if it really represents you.
Not if it's "right."
Not if it's "trendy."
But if it's consistent with you,
even when no one is looking.
And that's where many stop.
Why choose something that doesn't try to please everyone?
means accepting a responsibility:
that of not being able to hide behind a fashion,
upon consent,
behind a “it's good for everyone”.
It means choosing first hand.
Not everything is made to be worn by everyone.
And not everything has to be.
Some things exist for those who recognize a certain posture,
a certain way of being in the world,
a certain calm that needs no explanation.
If you've made it this far,
You probably weren't looking for something to buy.
You were looking for something that made sense to you.
And this, more than anything else,
it's already a choice.
