The moment you know it's the one
There’s always a precise moment.
It doesn’t happen the first time you try it on.
It doesn’t happen in front of the mirror.
At first, it’s just excitement.
You like it.
You’re curious about it.
It seems like a good choice.
But it’s not that yet.
The moment comes later.
When you leave the house.
When you wear it without thinking.
When you stop wondering if it works.

And that's when something interesting happens.
You are no longer evaluating an object.
You are simply living with it.
It's at that moment that you understand.
Not because someone noticed it.
Not because someone commented on it.
But because you no longer feel the need to change it.
Most of the things we own pass.
Some remain.
And when it happens, you recognize it immediately.
Not because it's perfect.
But because it stops seeming like a choice.
And becomes a part of you.
